I started to cry as we pulled up to the school and Ashlyn couldn’t get out of the car quick enough. To say Ashlyn was excited about her first day of Kindergarten would be an under statement! She popped right up out of bed at 6:30 AM, which if you know my kids, that is early!! This was a moment I was looking forward to and a moment that I have dreaded all summer long. Ashlyn was ready and so I had to be too… Kindergarten here we come!

At school ready to go to her classroom.
A family picture on Ashlyn’s first day of Kinder

Grandma & Papa would not have missed her first day! Ashlyn had quite the entourage on her first day of school!
A picture outside her classroom. Love the “Do I have to take another picture, mom?” look on her face!

No turning back … It’s official … Ashlyn is a Kindergartener!
That is pure excitement when you skip to find your seat!
Ashlyn found her seat and explored the supply box. This stuff is exciting peeps!!

And, that is where we left her. She got right to work coloring her Gecko (the school mascot) as we took a deep breath and walked out of the classroom.
Aunt Katie couldn’t go with us to drop off Ashlyn, so she came with us to pick her up from her first day.
Ashlyn loved Kindergarten!! She had a blast. She made a new friend and loves her teacher. We are so happy things seem to be off to a great start. Hopefully the whole year will be this good!!

Brock Aaron joined our family yesterday a little earlier than we thought. I had low fluid so my doctor opted to induce early. Brock arrived on Tues., Aug. 16th at 1:36 PM. He weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 in.
He has already proved to be a very alert baby. He is such a joy and we are so excited he has joined our family!
One last preggo shot before we left for the hospital.

The board in our room

Laboring comfortably after an epidural!

Brian & I waiting for the doctor to get to our room. We are so excited we are about to meet our new little boy!

The fabulous Dr. Irvin! Love her ! Talking me through pushing…

Brock is weighed in after everyone gives their guesses. I don’t remember who was closest.

Our sweet NEW baby!

Proud daddy and Brock

The girls were able to come up and watch Brock’s 1st bath through the nursery window. Such a special time for my girls!
Momma and her kiddos … can’t believe I am actually a mom to 3!

Ashlyn was so excited! She couldn’t wait to hold her baby brother.

Such a proud big sister!

Addie on the other hand is taking her time warming up to her new brother. By the end of the girl’s visit she was sweetly stroking his face! She is taking her time, but I bet she will be the protective one of her little brother!

Brock is such an alert and wide eyed baby!

Proud Papa and his grandson. Papa finally has a boy to chum around with!

Aunt Katie & Brock

Grandma was there, but for some reason I don’t have a good picture of Grandma & Brock. I will be sure to get one from Katie.
Grandma & Aunt Katie were with us most of the day. Mom got to the hospital in time to help me breathe through my contractions while I waited for my epidural. I am not sure what I would have done without her!! Katie came in not too long after that and was able to be there to see Brock come into the world.
Dr. Irvin & Brock.
I’m going to miss seeing her every week!

We feel truly blessed to have 3 beautiful healthy kiddos!

Hey everyone! The last 4 months have been beyond crazy! I have lots to catch you all up on. Hopefully I can do it in the next couple of weeks. I have lots to report on before our little man arrives in 5 short weeks!
So…. Let’s start at the beginning.
On March 22, our belongings were loaded onto a truck (in the snow none the less) bound for Texas.

Once the house was cleared out, the girls and I boarded a plane to Oklahoma to spend time with my mother – in – law while Brian made the drive from Calgary.
The girls had a blast being spoiled by Grandma Chris and Great-Grandma Charlene!! We all enjoyed the warmer temps. and sunshine! The girls were in heaven being outside and actually playing! It had been 5 months since we had seen grass!
Addie & Grandma Chris playing a little golf.

Ashlyn on a riding bouncy ball.

Grandma Chris helping Addison bouncy away.

A movie with Grandma Charlene. The girls and Grandma Charlene got some bonding time while Chris & I got to catch up. We so enjoyed our time!

Being spoiled rotten by Grandma Charlene … and love’n EVERY minute!

Once Brian made it into Oklahoma we spent an afternoon visiting the Luis side of the family.
The girls with Grandma Payne

The girls also got to meet some cousins for the first time.

After our visit with Grandma Payne; we headed over to Uncle Ray & Aunt Linda’s house. Can you tell they are related?

The next morning we packed our stuff into the Tahoe and headed south. Just before leaving Oklahoma we stopped in to meet our precious new (and first) nephew!
H is so dang cute and lovable. It was so much fun to meet the newest Luis!

Ashlyn is such a little momma. She would have held H the whole we were there if we let her!

She even snuck in a kiss or two.

Finally I got a chance to hold this precious baby! It was so much fun to have a baby in my arms again. H is so full of personality even if he looks board with me here!

Look at that grin. I guess he knew he was being held by another Luis man.
We hope to see this little guy (Ok, in reality he is not a little guy! He is the cutest chunk…well beyond his age!) soon! Hint Hint … E bring that baby to see us soon!!

I’ll be back with more soon!

My sweet baby girl is one whole hand today!
The past 5 years have flown by and each day has been a blessing with this sweet little soul!
We were so excited the day Ashlyn came into our lives!! It has been even more exciting to watch her grow, to see her personality bloom, and to experience the person she is becoming. Ashlyn is such a wonderful big sister and loves every moment of it! We are looking forward to what God has in store for her the next 5 years!

Happy Birthday big girl, and many more!
